Chariya Oung

Born and grew up in the capital city of Phnom Penh, Chakriya has spent her entire career in the corporate world. Until one day, she encountered one in a lifetime experience when her mother needed urgent health treatment but the local hospital couldn’t provide it. Fortunately, she brought her mother to a hospital out of the country and she was saved. Chakriya then realized that the healthcare system needed to significantly improve. Since then, she has become so passionate about making positive improvements in the healthcare and education system. Last year, she helped raised money to support a group of cyclone drivers who have been economically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, Chakriya joins IYFABW as partnership director to bring about greater contributions to the country through our organization’s mission.
