Max Amanu


Max Amanu holds first class honors bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kyambogo University Uganda. He interned at the Bank of Uganda which is the country’s central bank. He is passionate about Economics, international development, Peace and Economic empowerment through fighting poverty which he believes can be done through education. He grew up in a small village in Teso sub region, in Eastern Uganda where he was raised by his grandmother due to unavoidable circumstances that led to the divorce of his parents at his tender age. He later got adopted by an amazing family that lived in the capital Kampala which gave a new light to his life after his adopted mother agreeing to support him to complete his education. This act of kindness has since sparkled his heart to support the needy and vulnerable groups of people like the disabled, old and youth in his capacity. His life experience has driven him to give back to the community where he has volunteered with both local and international organizations which are mainly youth led where he focused in the areas of project management, partnerships, fundraising, event planning and management. He is currently one of the youth peace Ambassadors for Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) CEWARN program in Uganda, a member of International Youth Fellowship (IYF), Afrika Youth Movement (AYM), and Uganda Country Director for International Youth for a Better World.
