International Youth for a Better World is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is based in Virginia.
We empower young people to identify problems in their local communities and help them put solutions into practice, rather than imposing policies from outside.
We train young people to be leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers, allowing them to use their talents to help their communities and their countries.
Our four-month training program consists of a course in leadership, communication and entrepreneurship; development by trainees of a small project to address an issue in their communities; and implementation of the project. We follow up with project evaluation and ongoing support from staff and other trainees.
We provide children with school supplies, books, and libraries to help them develop their knowledge, creativity, and desire to learn.
We do everything we can to ensure that the talent and potential of children and young adults are not ignored, neglected, or wasted by poverty, discrimination, or lack of opportunity.
