Fundraiser Intern
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research content for and draft email blasts to donors, supporters and other interested parties using constant contact
- Interview, research, or observe programs, donors, or staff for blog posts
- Monitor and update website content as needed
- Assist with the marketing and logistics for third-party marketing events
- Provide support for on-going development activities including prospect research, grant research and drafting, and program marketing
- Update communications calendar regularly
- Develop social media marketing, recruitment, and event updates for events including Facebook updates, tweets and Instagram posts
- Attend and participate in event related activities and meetings
- Manage participant and donor data
Qualifications:
– Understand and actively use social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
– Demonstrated interest in nonprofit management and/or working with children
– Must learn quickly, thrive in an environment with competing demands and quickly changing priorities, and be able to thrive in an environment where team members are given general direction and expected to figure out the details
– Efficient and technologically competent
– Must be an excellent writer, able to consistently and effectively communicate the organization’s mission
– Extremely detail-oriented and organized
– Professional, consistent, reliable, proactive 8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Head and Heart: Kindness, Willingness to learn and grown, passion about humanity and community
- In 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of college graduate program or beyond preferred
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
